Your 2-3 Day stay what would I suggest?

1. Weather permitting the beach should take up an entire day. Yes beach tags are required daily rates hit you at 10$ a day when taggers are on (Memorial Day - Labor Day and some weekends beyond) 3 Day is 20$, Week $25 and Seasonal $40

What Beaches to hit??  If your surfing you need a leash and are confined to Queen Street, Stockton and The Cove while the lifeguards are on.  Best beach for kids is probably going to be the Cove with its more gentle and occasional tide pool. Just remember the beaches change drastically.  Outside of that its generally best to stay the easiest most accessible beach to where you are staying and ideally not paying a meter.

2. Shopping - We make it extremely easy for you with the Washington Street Mall, Washington Street Commons (at the north end of mall head towards Acme) and a multitude of stores withing a block or so of the Mall and along the Beach front.  The only spot that generally gets overlooked by new visitors are the two Co Ops one in West Cape May on Perry Street and another in Lower Township as you come onto the island Across from South Jersey Marina.  Best plan of action is to go earlier in day before the heat (most stores open at 10am) or later in the afternoon except its more crowded.

3. Bar hopping and Eating - It's well known we offer some of the finest fare in the area.  Most people have their favorites like the Washington Inn and Peter Shields for special occasions, the Lobster House for seafood, or Hot Dog Tommy's for a mid day break.  If you've never been I highly suggest taking a walk and hitting up a few different locations for light fare and cocktails or just enjoy the scenry.
